  • New Closures: Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District due to the Grizzly Mountain Fire: Forest Roads # 260, #959, #993, #994, #1568 and Forest Trails #807 (Indian Creek) and 807A (Indian Creek). The Bennett Peak Fire Closure: Forest Road #602 (Little Guard Road) and Forest Trail #81 (Shoshone Ridge).

  • Recent lightning storms have resulted in at least 35 new fires across north Idaho with the majority  located on the St. Joe and Coeur d’Alene River Ranger Districts. Most are less than a tenth of an acre. The largest fire is approximately 90 acres and is located near Marble Creek on the St. Joe Ranger District. Due to the fires being lightning caused, most are located high on ridge tops and none pose any imminent threat to structures
