Weather: Temperature will be in the low 80s in the valleys and mid 60s at higher elevations today.   Relative humidity will decrease throughout the week as temperatures rise, potentially reaching 90 degrees by Friday, creating the potential for fires to become more active toward the end of the week.

Woodrat Fire: Crews are starting to rehabilitate burned areas along the west side of the fire.

Slide Fire: Firefighters finished constructing fireline to Coolwater Road on Johnson Bar Ridge. Crews will focus on patrolling the fire and begin rehab work along Selway Road.

Jay Point/ Boulder Fires: Crews on both fires will patrol containment lines and have begun rehab in burned areas.

Motorway North Group: Crews are constructing contingency line on the Northwest side of the Yoosa fire. The Musselshell, Lost Hat and Snowy Summit fires will continue to be monitored for signs of fire activity.

Walde East and Walde West Groups: Crews continue to construct direct line around the Higgins Hump fire. With the Big Hill and Jungle fires boxed in, personnel will monitor the fires for any activity. Firefighters are assessing the Walde 1, 2 and 3 fires to determine the appropriate suppression actions.

Evacuations: Level 1 evacuations remain in place in the Powell, Lowell, Syringa, and the Lolo Hot Springs areas.  The Selway Road is open to the O’Hara bridge.  For more information, please go to the Idaho County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Idaho-County-Sheriffs-Office/178393728844032
