Hens and chicks are fire resistant, require little water, and
are an example of the kind of plant that can help make your home Firewise.

During the month of May, Idaho BLM is encouraging homeowners and residents to PLAN, PREPARE, and PREVENT as wildland fire season approaches.

PLAN on becoming Firewise by identifying and mitigating the hazards around your home.  Visit www.idahofirewise.org for help.

PREPARE by creating survivable space to protect your home.

PREVENT wildfires by using caution with equipment that can cause a spark.
