Boise National Forest issues area closure order due to Buck Fire

BOISE, Idaho, July 4, 2016 – The Boise National Forest has issued an area closure order effective immediately as a result of the Buck Fire, eight miles east of the Deadwood Reservoir.

The area closure is in effect until further notice for the purpose of providing public safety and protection to the general public from hazards associated with the wildfire.

The following area of National Forest System (NFS) Lands (including all roads and trails with the area) within the boundary beginning at the junction of Forest Road 579 and NFS road 582 located in Township 12 North, Ranger 9 East, Section 3; continuing westerly along, but not including Forest Road 579 to its junction with NFS road 591 located in Township 12 North, Range 7 East, Section 1; continuing southerly along and not including NFS road 591 to its junction with NFS road 510, located in Township 12 North, Range 7 East, Section 24; continuing southeasterly along, but not including NFS road 510 to its junction with NFS road 582 (Clear Creek Summit) located in Township 10 North, Range 8 East, Section 3; continuing northerly along, but not including NFS road 582 back to the point of origin.
