EASTERN IDAHO INTERAGENCY FIRE CENTER UPDATE
July 25, 2016 - 6 PM
IDAHO FALLS, ID – Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center resources have responded to a fire 8-miles south of Pocatello in the Mink Creek drainage.  The South Mink Fire is currently 15-acres in size.  Resources on the fire include 5 engines, a water tender, a 20-person hand crew and a helicopter.  Air attack and air tanker support out of the Pocatello Air Tanker Base has been used to assist with fire suppression efforts.  Forest Service Road 163 is closed until further notice.

The Lanes Creek Fire located about 10-miles north-northwest of Thayne, WY has grown to 115- acres.  The fire started on June 30, 2016 by lightning.  The Lanes Creek Fire is being managed for resource benefit.
