July 18, 2017

McCall, Idaho – There were no new fires reported today.  Two CL314 Water Scooper Aircraft, in addition to two Single Engine Air Tankers and a Type 1 helicopter are positioned in McCall for initial attack.
 A Type 2 Incident Management Team will assume command of the fire Wednesday morning.  The Incident Command Post is located at the Cox Ranch along Johnson Creek Road.

 BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT:  No existing fires, no new starts.
 IDAHO DEPARTMENT OF LANDS:  No existing fires, no new starts.
SOUTHERN IDAHO TIMBER PROTECTIVE ASSOCIATION:  No existing fires, no new starts.
 PAYETTE NATIONAL FOREST
Weiser Ranger District:
  1.  Summit Fire:  (11 acres) Located just east of State Highway 71 and south of Cuddy Mountain.  Fire started July 13th.  Unknown cause of the fire.  Controlled as of 7/17 and in patrol status.  This will be the alst report for this fire.
 Council Ranger District:  No existing fires, no new starts.
 New Meadows Ranger District:  No existing fires, no new starts.
 McCall Ranger District:  No existing fires, no new starts.
 Krassel Ranger District:
  1. Stonebreaker Fire: (.25 acres) Lightning caused and reported on 7/13, within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Located 1 mile north of Chamberlain Basin.  No smoke showing – in monitor status.  This will be the last report for this fire.
  2. Marble Mountain Fire: (3 acres) Lightning caused and reported in 7/14, within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. Located 2 miles southeast of Edwardsburg.  Smokejumpers responded to this fire to aggressively prevent it from growing larger and spreading toward Edwardsburg.  Fire is controlled and declared out.  This will be last report for this fire.
  3. Rocky Point Fire: (.10 acres) Lightning caused and reported 7/14, within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.  Located 10 miles north of Chamberlain Basin and 2 miles south of the Salmon River.  No smoke is showing on this fire and it is in a patrol status.  This will be last report for this fire.
  4. Lemhi Fire: (25 acres) Lightning caused and reported 7/16, within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, Located 3.5 miles downstream of Campbell’s Ferry. No growth reported, no smoke, resources have demobilized and the fire is in a patrol status.  This will be the last report for this fire.
