Loveridge Fire
  • ·         Located eight miles southeast of Bruneau, BLM land
  • ·         Size: 38,645 acres
  • ·         Contain: 6 p.m.
  • ·         Control: 7/11/2017 at 8 p.m.
  • ·         Resources: eight engines, three overhead, two dozers, one water tender
  • ·         Fuel type: grass and brush
  • ·         Fire behavior: smoldering
  • ·         Structures threatened: no
  • ·         Cause: undetermined


The Bruneau Dunes State Park has reopened. Resources remain on scene, improving containment lines and mopping up hotspots.

Antelope Fire
  • ·         Located approximately 5 miles south of Shoshone
  • ·         Size: approximately 10,000 acres
  • ·         Contain: unknown
  • ·         Control: unknown
  • ·         Resources: Notch Butte Rangeland Protection Association, eight engines (Twin Falls District BLM and Sawtooth National Forest), one dozer, four overhead, seven aircraft
  • ·         Fuel type: grass and brush
  • ·         Fire behavior: running
  • ·         Structures threatened: yes
  • ·         Cause: lightning


Highway 93 and Highway 24 have reopened.  The east and south flanks of the fire are still active. Resources continue to secure the northern fire perimeter near Shoshone.
Meadow Creek Fire
  • ·         Located two miles east of I84, mile maker 256
  • ·         Size: approximately 200 acres
  • ·         Contain: unknown
  • ·         Control: unknown
  • ·         Resources: Rafter River RFD, smoke jumpers, five engines, one type two hand crew, two overhead
  • ·         Fuel type: grass, brush, juniper
  • ·         Fire behavior: running
  • ·         Structures threatened: no
  • ·         Cause: undetermined
