Loveridge Fire
• Located eight miles southeast of Bruneau,  BLM land 
• Size: approximately 42,000 acres
• Contain: unknown
• Control: unknown.
• Resources: nine engines, four overhead, two dozer, two water tenders
• Fuel type: grass and brush
• Fire behaviorwind driven and running
• Structures threatened: yes 
• Cause: undetermined, investigator on scene

Currently, the Bruneau Dunes State Park is closed due to fire activity – for more information about the park’s closure, please contact Idaho State Parks and Recreation Communication Manager Jennifer Okerland at (208) 514-2254.

The fire is currently burning to the northwest, due to winds. Highway 78 is being restricted to ensure the safety of the fire fighters and the public. Additional fire resources and aircraft have been ordered.  Owyhee County Sheriff has issued evacuations in the fire area, please contact Owyhee County Sheriff for evacuation information at (208) 334-4222.

Antelope Fire
• Located approximately 5 miles south of Shoshone
• Size: approximately 4,000 acres
• Contain: unknown
• Control: unknown
• Resources: Notch Butte Rangeland Protection Association, eight engines (Twin Falls District BLM and Sawtooth National Forest)one dozer, four overhead, seven aircraft
• Fuel type: grass and brush
• Fire behavior: running 
• Structures threatened: yes 
• Cause: lightning

The fire is currently running, being pushed by the wind. It has jumped Highway 93 in several locations.  Highway 93 remains closed at this time. Resources are focusing on the north flank of the fire, to ensure the fire does not reach Shoshone. The fire is currently burning parallel to Highway 24. Idaho Transportation Department, and Lincoln County Sheriff Department are evaluating Highway 24, to determine if the road needs to be closed
