  •  Located five miles north of Hailey, Idaho Department of Lands  
  • Size: approximately four acres
  • Contain: unknown

  • Resources: five BLM engines, one BLM dozer, four local fire department water tenders, one BLM type three camp crew
  • Fuel type: compost
  •  Fire behavior: smoldering
  • Structures threatened: no 
  • Cause: undetermined

Twin Falls District BLM Fire Management assumed command of the Ohio Gulch Fire Thursday morning. The fire is burning large compost piles, comprised of organic materials, such as yard waste. Full suppression activities have begun and fire fighters are working with heavy equipment to extinguish the burning piles. People sensitive to smoke should use precaution due to smoke settling in the valley
