Lightning tracked over southeast Idaho Saturday afternoon and evening, igniting multiple wildfires. Fire crews responded quickly to the new starts making great progress overnight. All fires are expected to be contained by noon today. Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center is preparing for another busy day due to hot, dry and windy weather conditions with possible lightning today. Please take precautions while enjoying your public lands. Remember possessing or discharging fireworks, incendiary ammunition, steel core ammunition, and exploding targets are illegal on public lands. Help prevent one less wildfire.
Stone 2 Fire
·   Located approximately 2 miles northwest of Stone Reservoir
·   150 acres (BLM)
·   Lightning
·   Fire resources –4 engines and 1 dozer
·   Contained 7/21/18 at 11 p.m.
Woolstenhume Fire
·   Located approximately 5 miles northeast of Stone Reservior
·   .25 acres (Private)
·   Lightning
·   Fire resources –10-person handcrew 
·   Estimated containment- 7/22/18 at 9 a.m.
Sheep Creek Fire
·   Located approximately 5 miles northeast of Holbrook, ID
·   .1 acres (BLM)
·   Lightning
·   Fire resources – 1 engine
·   Contained 7/21/18 at 10 p.m.
West Elk Horn Fire
·   Located approximately 10 miles northwest of Malad, ID
