Sage Junction, south of Highway 33 (BLM)
Cause: Under investigation
Fire Size: estimated at 1,000 acres

Contained: 50%, full
containment estimated for 7/16/18 at 8 p.m.
Fire Behavior: Smoldering
Structures Threatened: No immediate threat to
structures.
Fuels and Terrain: Burning in grass and brush on
flat ground.
Fire
Crews/Resources: 6
engines, 1 water tender, 2 dozers and 1 helicopter. County resources were
released late last night.
Evacuations: None in effect.
Closures: None. Highway 33 reopened last
night.
Summary: Firefighters will
continue securing the fire perimeter today and begin mopping up. The North Butte Fire is receiving rain this
morning.
