Summary: The Chesterfield
Fire started the morning of 8/13/2018 approximately one mile north of
Chesterfield Reservoir on Fort Hall Reservation. Fire managers report that
there is retardant or dozer line around the fire at this time. Winds are
starting to pick up, causing the fire to creep through retardant lines.
Firefighters are working to secure fireline with the help of helicoptors and
firebosses dropping water. The steep, rugged terrain is making containment
difficult, full containment expected 8/16/2018.
