*Contingent on no change today, a final release will go out tonight once 100% containment is reported*

Start Date: 08/13/2018 early morning

Location and Jurisdiction: Approximately 1 mile north of Chesterfield Reservoir on Fort Hall Reservation, BLM and private.

Cause: Lightning

Fire Size: 2,380 acres (aerial mapping)

Percent Contained: 75%, containment estimated for 8/16/18
Fire Behavior: Fire is smoldering.

Structures Threatened:  No structures threatened

Fuels and Terrain:  Burning in grass and brush in steep terrain.

Fire Crews/Resources: 5 engines, 2 brush trucks, 1 20-person handcrew, 9 smokejumpers and 3 dozers.

Evacuations:  No evacuations.

Closures:  No closures.

Summary: Firefighters will continue securing the fire perimeter and mopping up today with the goal of full containment by end of shift today, August 16.
