The
focus for fire resources today is to continue suppression repair, such as
repairing dozer lines and building water bars for erosion control. Crews will
continue to monitor and patrol the fires
edge and mop up interior islands of unburned fuel.
A red flag warning is in effect today for upper
Snake River Valley from 12pm to 9pm for thunderstorms and gusty winds. The
highest threat is located north of a line from Arco to Driggs, ID. A red flag
warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now,
or will shortly occur.
Out of
the 273 personal we have had on this fire, some have come from as far away as
Puerto Rico, Illinois, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
