The
focus again for fire resources today will be to continue suppression repair,
patrol the fires edge and mop up interior islands of unburned fuel. Based on yesterday’s
progress we anticipate completion by mid-day Friday.
Great
Basin Team #3 will transition with a local Type 4 incident commander tomorrow at
6 a.m. Resources on the fire tomorrow will include a Task force comprised of an
Incident Commander, Heavy Equipment Boss, and one dozer along with five
engines.
To date
there have been no reported injuries or accidents on the fire.
Today’s
weather will bring increased winds with a chance of thunderstorms. Drier
conditions will return Friday with stronger winds with similar conditions on
Saturday.
This
will be the final update from the Great Basin Incident Management Team #3 for
the Grassy Ridge fire.
