Conner Fire
● Location: four miles southeast of Malta
● Size: estimated 13,000 acres
● Contained: unknown
● Control: unknown
● Resources: Albion Rural Fire Department (RFD), Raft River RFD,one Sawtooth National Forest
engine, two Boise BLM engines, six Twin Falls Fire engines, two dozers, BLM camp crew
● Fuel type: grass, brush, timber
● Fire behavior: running
● Structures threatened: yes
● Cause: human- escaped agriculture burn

The Conner Fire was reported around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Erratic winds and active fire
behavior caused the fire to grow quickly. Aircraft focusing on the southwest flank, where the fire is
most active and access is difficult. Ground resources continue to provide structure protection and
create containment lines on the north and east flanks. Fire investigators determined the fire to be
caused by an escaped agriculture burn that was conducted on private land adjacent to public lands.
