Table Butte Fire Update

Start Date: July 2, 2019, at approximately 2 p.m.
Location and Jurisdiction: North of Table Butte, 5 miles east of Camas, ID on BLM.
Cause: Lightning
Fire Size: 806 acres
Percent Contained: 50% contained, full containment estimated for 7/2/19 at 11 p.m. Control estimated for 7/3/2019 at 6 p.m.
Fire Behavior: Forward progress has stopped.
Fuels and Terrain: Grass and brush. Terrain is flat with rolling hills.
Fire Crews/Resources: 8 engines, 1 helicopter, and 1 dozer (BLM & USFS) still on scene. The following resources assisted: 2 Hamer Fire Department engines and water tender, 1 Roberts FD engine and water tender, 3 Madison FD engines and Camas Creek RFPA.
Structures Threatened: No structures threatened.
Evacuations: No evacuations.
Closures: No closures, Camas Monteview Road (2700) has reopened.
Summary: Firefighters held the Table Butte Fire at the Camas Monteview Road. Firefighters are now extinguishing hot spots and securing the perimeter. Table Butte Fire is 50% contained. Fire managers estimate containment for 11 p.m. tonight, July 2.
