Wilson Fire-
● Location:
approximately two miles northeast of Hazelton
● Size: 317 acres
● Containment: 7/7
at 10 p.m.
● Control: 7/8 at 8
p.m.
● Resources: two
Boise BLM engines, one Boise BLM dozer, three overhead, three Twin Falls BLM
engines, one water tender
● Fuel type: grass,
brush
● Fire behavior: smoldering
● Structures
threatened: none
● Cause: lightning
Cool
temperatures and higher relative humidity gave crews the upper hand last night,
slowing the fire progression. Minimal fire activity and light winds are
allowing firefighters to improve containment lines and mop up hot spots.
Cinder Butte Fire
● Location:
approximately five miles northeast of Hazelton
● Size: estimated
39 acres
● Contained: 7/6 at
10 p.m.
● Control: 7/7 at 6
p.m.
● Resources: First Segregation
Rural Fire Department, two Twin Falls BLM Fire engines and two single engine
air tankers (SEATs)
● Fuel type: grass,
brush
● Fire behavior: smoldering
● Structures
threatened: none
● Cause: lightning
The
fire was contained last night with control time set for today (7/7) at 6 p.m.
Resources are continuing to improve containment lines and mop up hot spots.
