Spud Fire

●       Location: approximately 12 miles southwest of Carey, near Craters of the Moon National Monument and   
         Preserve
●       Size: 4,889 acres
●       Containment: 8/3 at 6 p.m.
●       Control: 8/5 at 8 p.m.
●       Resources: seven TFD engines, one water tender, one dozer, one camp crew, three overhead, multiple
         aircraft
●       Fuel type: brush and grass
●       Fire behavior: smoldering
●       Structures threatened: none
●       Cause: lightning


Peavey Fire-Final Update

●       Location: approximately 14 miles north of Minidoka
●       Size: 464 acres
●       Containment: 8/2 at 4:30 p.m.
●       Control: 8/4 at 6 p.m.
●       Resources: two Sawtooth National Forest engines
●       Fuel type: grass and brush
       Fire behavior: smoldering
●       Structures threatened: none
●       Cause: lightning
