Wildfire Awareness Month has arrived and the Boise BLM, in cooperation with the Idaho Transportation Department, continues to conduct prescribed burns to reduce hazardous fuels along fence-lines and roadways in southwest Idaho. Reducing unsafe accumulations of hazardous fuels, like tumbleweeds, decreases human caused fires along roadways and creates safer driving conditions. Reducing hazardous fuels is also a huge benefit for firefighters during fire season as it provides a safer location to access and fight wildfires. Fire season is almost upon us and it is time to starting thinking about what you can do to be #ReadyForWildfire. #BLMBODFire #Together4Idaho #Firefighters
