Samaria Fire contained after busy weekend of wildfires

Twitter: @BLMIdahoFire Facebook: Idaho Fire Info

Lightning tracked over southeast Idaho last weekend igniting multiple wildfires. Fire crews responded quickly to the new starts and despite rugged and remote terrain, none progressed for very long and none threatened life or structures. Four of the five fire starts were contained by Sunday 7/26/20.

Eastern Idaho Interagency Fire Center is preparing for another busy week with hot, dry and windy weather conditions with possible lightning over the next few days. Please take precautions while enjoying your public lands. Remember possessing or discharging fireworks, incendiary ammunition, steel core ammunition, and exploding targets are illegal on public lands. Help create one less wildfire.
