·   Start Date: 07/21/2021 around 3:30 p.m.

·   Location and Jurisdiction: Approximately 4 miles southeast of Pauline, Idaho (private land and BLM-managed lands)  

·   Fire Size: Estimated 1,620 acres (change in acre due to more accurate mapping)

·   Fire Behavior: Minor

·   Cause: Lightning

·   Estimated Containment: Currently 50%, full containment expected 07/23/2021 at 8:00 p.m.

·   Estimated Control: 07/24/2021 at 8:00 p.m.

·   Resources on Scene: 10 engines, 3 dozers, 1 heavy helicopter and 3 20-person handcrews.

·   Structures Threatened: None

·   Closures: None

·   Summary: Approximately 100 personnel are assisting with firefighting efforts on the Lusk Fire. Firefighters will focus their efforts today on building line on the east side of the fire near the top of the ridgeline. Crews will likely be securing line through Friday. Minor precipitation occurred last night over the fire, which moderated fire growth in the lowlands. Firefighters will continue to monitor weather conditions to prepare for possible passing thunderstorms.
